In Monday's non-league test, the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) softball squad got by the host Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC), by a tally of 6-5.

Next, the Trojans clash with the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) in a South Piedmont 4A/5A test, on Tuesday, April 21. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to advance on its 9-8 season record. The Cougars go into the test with a 8-11 record after their 16-5 league win over Jay M. Robinson (Concord, NC).

The Vikings (14-7) will now prepare for their test against West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Wolverines go into the Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, West Cabarrus held off Harding University (Charlotte, NC), 20-2, in a league test.
