California High School Softball - Bishop Montgomery bounces Hawthorne
April 21, 2022: Hawthorne, CA 90250 The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA) and the host Hawthorne Cougars (Hawthorne, CA), saw Bishop Montgomery's softball squad achieve victory over Hawthorne by a count of 16-2.
The Knights now sport a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Serra for a Camino Real match on Tuesday, April 26. Bishop Montgomery will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 12-7 non-league win over Lawndale (Lawndale, CA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Hawthorne falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Inglewood (Inglewood, CA) to face the Sentinels in a Ocean match on Monday, April 25. The Sentinels enter the match with a record of 2-6. Inglewood lost 24-1 in their recent league match against Leuzinger (Lawndale, CA)
