Virginia High School Softball - Nansemond River holds off Great Bridge
April 21, 2022: Chesapeake, VA 23322 Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Great Bridge Wildcats (Chesapeake, VA), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Warriors now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Poquoson for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 25.
With the loss, Great Bridge falls to 5-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Currituck County (Barco, NC) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 22. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Currituck County lost 10-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA)
