The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers baseball team scored 5 runs and held the host Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings to 3 in the Lakers non-league win on Monday.

The Lakers now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenfield for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22. Mercyhurst Prep will play a Knights team coming off a 10-3 non-league loss to South Range (Canfield, OH). The Knights record now stands at 14-4.

With the defeat, Villa Angela-St. Joseph drops to 3-6 on the year. The Vikings travel to Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH) to play the Falcons in a non-league test on Monday, April 21.
