Kentucky High School Softball - Highlands bounces Newport
April 21, 2025: Newport, KY 41071 The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY) and the host Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY), observed Highlands's softball team prevail over Newport by a tally of 18-1.
The Bluebirds (16-5) will now prepare for their bout against Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY). The Thoroughbreds go into the District 36 bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, Newport Central Catholic knocked off Bellevue (Bellevue, KY), 12-2, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Robertson County Black Devils (Mt. Olivet, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, April 22. Newport will attempt to move on its 0-10 season record. The Black Devils come into the outing with a 2-7 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Augusta (Augusta, KY).
