April 22, 2021: Bellevue, NE 68123 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE) and the host Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE), saw Columbus's soccer squad knock off Bellevue West by a count of 3-0.
The Discoverers now hold a 5-7 record. They play next when they host Kearney for a Heartland Athletic Conference test on Tuesday, April 27. Columbus will meet a Bearcats squad coming off a 3-0 league win over North Star (Lincoln, NE). The Bearcats record now stands at 9-5.
With the loss, Bellevue West drops to 4-8 on the season. The Thunderbirds host Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, NE) to meet the Titans in a Metro test on Saturday, April 24. The Titans come into the test with a record of 7-6. Papillion-LaVista South lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA)
