Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Hernando Leopards (Brooksville, FL) and the visiting River Ridge Royal Knights (New Port Richey, FL), witnessed Hernando's softball squad tip River Ridge by a count of 7-2.

The Leopards now sport a 19-4 record. They play next when they host Cypress Creek for a non-league match on Friday, April 23. Hernando will meet a Coyotes squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Academy of the Holy Names (Tampa, FL). The Coyotes record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, River Ridge moves to 19-5 on the season.
