April 22, 2022: Braidwood, IL 60408 Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) and the visiting Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), saw Reed-Custer's baseball squad knock off Beecher by a count of 5-1.
Coming up next, the Comets play the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) in a Illinois Central Eight battle, on Monday, April 25. Reed-Custer will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 7-7 record after their 15-0 non-league win over Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL).
The Bobcats now possess a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they host Illinois Lutheran for a River Valley battle on Saturday, April 23. Beecher will play a Chargers squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-7.
