Berkeley Yellowjackets (Berkeley, CA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Castro Valley Trojans (Castro Valley, CA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Berkeley upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (San Francisco, CA) to battle the Fightin' Irish in a non-league test on Saturday, April 23. The Fightin' Irish come into the test with a record of 13-4. Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory won 22-0 in their recent non-league test against Gunn (Palo Alto, CA)

With the defeat, Castro Valley falls to 7-6 on the season. The Trojans travel to Pittsburg (Pittsburg, CA) to battle the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, April 23.
