April 22, 2022: Malvern, PA 19355 The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Central Bucks East Patriots (Doylestown, PA) and the host Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes (Malvern, PA), saw Central Bucks East's softball squad nip Villa Maria Academy by a count of 9-3.
The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Central Bucks South for a Suburban One - Colonial match on Monday, April 25. Central Bucks East will face a Titans squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Avon Grove (West Grove, PA). The Titans record now stands at 3-4.
The Hurricanes (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Villa Joseph Marie (Holland, PA). The Jems come into the Catholic Academies test with a 8-0 record. In their last test, Villa Joseph Marie edged Archbishop Ryan (Philadelphia, PA), 13-0, in a non-league test.
