April 22, 2023: Gate City, VA 24251 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the West Ridge Wolves (Blountville, TN) and the host Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA), saw West Ridge's baseball squad knock off Gate City by a count of 10-0.
Coming up next, the Wolves play the Dobyns-Bennett Indians (Kingsport, TN) in a 4A District 1 battle, on Monday, April 24. West Ridge will attempt to move on its 16-5 season record. The Indians enter the battle with a 6-12 record after their 13-11 non-league loss to Elder (Cincinnati, OH).
The Blue Devils now possess a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to University for a non-league battle on Monday, April 24. Gate City will play a Buccaneers squad coming off a 15-5 league win over North Greene (Greeneville, TN). The Buccaneers record now stands at 8-4.
