Connecticut High School Baseball - St. Joseph holds off Newtown
April 22, 2023: Newtown, CT 06482 Spectators at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Joseph Cadets (Trumbull, CT) and the host Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), saw St. Joseph's baseball squad knock off Newtown by a count of 8-4.
Coming up next, the Cadets play the Danbury Hatters (Danbury, CT) in a Fairfield County battle, on Monday, April 24. St. Joseph will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Hatters enter the battle with a 4-5 record after their 10-0 league loss to Staples (Westport, CT).
The Nighthawks now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to New Fairfield for a non-league battle on Monday, April 24. Newtown will play a Rebels squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Masuk (Monroe, CT). The Rebels record now stands at 5-4.
