April 22, 2023: Louisville, KY 40291 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats (Franklin, KY) and the host Fern Creek Tigers (Louisville, KY), saw Franklin-Simpson's softball squad nip Fern Creek by a count of 8-2.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-13 record. They take the field next when they host South Warren for a non-league match on Monday, April 24. Franklin-Simpson will face a Spartans squad coming off a 19-0 league win over Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY). The Spartans record now stands at 18-2.
With the loss, Fern Creek falls to 8-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Atherton (Louisville, KY) to face the Ravens in a non-league match on Monday, April 24. The Ravens enter the match with a record of 6-10. Atherton won 11-6 in their recent non-league match against South Oldham (Crestwood, KY)
