Illinois High School Softball - Rockford East loses to Genoa-Kingston
April 22, 2023: Genoa, IL 60135 The Genoa-Kingston Cogs softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Rockford East E-Rabs to 0 in the Cogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Genoa-Kingston improves its record to 7-9 on the year. The Cogs travel to North Boone (Poplar Grove, IL) to clash with the Vikings in a Big Northern game on Tuesday, April 25. The Vikings come into the game with a record of 14-4. North Boone lost 10-8 in their recent league game against Rock Falls (Rock Falls, IL)
In their next game, the E-Rabs clash with the Freeport Pretzels (Freeport, IL) in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 game, on Monday, April 24. Rockford East will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Pretzels come into the game with a 8-3 record after their 6-5 league loss to Guilford (Rockford, IL).
