Ohio High School Softball - Northwestern bounces Newton Local
April 22, 2023: Pleasant Hill, OH 45359 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Northwestern Warriors (Springfield, OH) and the host Newton Local Indians (Pleasant Hill, OH), saw Northwestern's softball squad achieve victory over Newton Local by a count of 12-1.
The Warriors now sport a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Union for a Central Buckeye - Mad River match on Monday, April 24. Northwestern will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 20-19 non-league loss to Jonathan Alder (Plain City, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-3.
With the loss, Newton Local falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Indians host National Trail (New Paris, OH) to face the Blazers in a Western Ohio Athletic match on Monday, April 24. The Blazers enter the match with a record of 5-6. National Trail won 17-7 in their recent league match against Dixie (New Lebanon, OH)
