April 22, 2024: Okawville, IL 62271 The Waltonville Spartans triumphed over the host Okawville Rockets softball squad by a count of 10-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the Grayville Bison (Grayville, IL) in a Midland Trail challenge, on Wednesday, April 24. Waltonville will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Bison enter the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 21-3 non-league loss to Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL).
The Rockets (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Chester (Chester, IL). The Yellowjackets enter the Cahokia - Illinois challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Chester was routed by Waterloo (Waterloo, IL), 12-3, in a non-league challenge.
