April 22, 2025: Ottawa, IL 61350 The Marquette Crusaders baseball team scored 3 runs and held the visiting Henry-Senachwine Mallards to 2 in the Crusaders league win on Tuesday.
The Crusaders now own a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Bede for a Tri-County test on Thursday, April 24. Marquette will clash with a Bruins team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn (Roanoke, IL). The Bruins record now stands at 14-3.
With the defeat, Henry-Senachwine drops to 3-11 on the year. The Mallards host Fieldcrest (Minonk, IL) to clash with the Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, April 24. The Knights go into the test with a record of 8-7. Fieldcrest won 10-0 in their recent league test against Ridgeview (Colfax, IL)
