The Mountain Pointe Pride baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions to 4 in the Pride non-league win on Tuesday.

The Pride now hold a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Chaparral for a test on Friday, April 25. Mountain Pointe will play a Firebirds team coming off a 10-3 league win over Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Firebirds record now stands at 13-3.

With the defeat, Desert Edge drops to 0-7 on the year. The Scorpions travel to Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ) to play the Knights in a non-league test on Monday, April 28. The Knights go into the test with a record of 11-4. Arizona College Prep won 7-5 in their recent league test against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ)
