Maine High School Lacrosse - York can't hold off Cheverus
April 22, 2025: Portland, ME 04103 Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they saw their lacrosse team nudge the visiting York Wildcats (York, ME), 11-10 in a non-league battle.
With the victory, Cheverus advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Stags host Thornton Academy (Saco, ME) to encounter the Trojans in a Class A battle on Thursday, April 24. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 1-1. Thornton Academy won 20-1 in their recent league battle against Lewiston (Lewiston, ME)
The Wildcats now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marshwood for a Class B outing on Saturday, April 26. York will face a Hawks squad coming off a 17-5 league win over Biddeford (Biddeford, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 1-0.
