In Wednesday's non-league game, the host South Rowan Raiders baseball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Davie County War Eagles.

The Raiders (19-4) will now prepare for their game against Carson (China Grove, NC). The Cougars enter the South Piedmont 4A/5A game with a 10-12 record. In their last game, Carson was tipped by South Stanly (Norwood, NC), 5-4, in a non-league game.

Next, the War Eagles face the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a North Piedmont 6A/7A game, on Friday, April 24. Davie County will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Vikings enter the game with a 12-10 record after their 6-5 non-league win over A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC).
