April 23, 2022: Austin, TX 78746 The Midway Panthers baseball team (Waco, TX), was overwhelmed 12-6 in Saturday's non-league outing with the host Westlake Chaparrals (Austin, TX)
The Chaparrals now hold a 19-4 record. They take the field next when they host Del Valle for a 6A Region IV District 26 outing on Tuesday, April 26. Westlake will face a Cardinals team coming off a 12-2 non-league loss to Round Rock Westwood (Austin, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-20.
Next, the Panthers face the Lake Ridge Eagles (Mansfield, TX) in a 6A Region II District 11 outing, on Tuesday, April 26. Midway will attempt to advance on its 17-8 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 20-5 record after their 15-5 non-league win over Joshua (Joshua, TX).
