Delaware High School Softball - Smyrna bounces Dover
April 23, 2024: Dover, DE 19901 Smyrna Eagles (Smyrna, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Dover Senators (Dover, DE), 11-1 in a league challenge.
The Eagles now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Forest for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. Smyrna will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Indian River (Dagsboro, DE). The Spartans record now stands at 9-1.
With the loss, Dover falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Senators host Sussex Academy (Georgetown, DE) to battle the Seahawks in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Seahawks enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Sussex Academy won 16-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Early College (Dover, DE)
