Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) and the host Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH), witnessed Martins Ferry's softball squad prevail over Fort Frye by a count of 10-2.

The Purple Riders now sport a 11-2 record. They play next when they travel to Edison for a non-league match on Thursday, April 25. Martins Ferry will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-3 non-league win over Cambridge (Cambridge, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-2.
