The Chariho Chargers baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Middletown Islanders to 3 in the Chargers league win on Wednesday.

The Chargers now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Stonington for a non-league test on Thursday, April 24. Chariho will play a Bears team coming off a 6-5 league loss to Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Bears record now stands at 7-3.

With the defeat, Middletown drops to 3-5 on the year. The Islanders travel to Barrington (Barrington, RI) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, April 26.
