The Leo Lions triumphed over the host Heritage Patriots softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Angola Hornets (Angola, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, April 24. Leo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Hornets enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 12-1 league loss to Garrett (Garrett, IN).

The Patriots (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against South Adams (Berne, IN). The Starfires enter the Allen County challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, South Adams edged Bluffton (Bluffton, IN), 7-5, in a league challenge.
