April 24, 2024: New Lenox, IL 60451 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) volleyball team nipped the visiting Lemont Lemont HS (Lemont, IL), by a count of 2-1.
The Celtics (13-13) will now prepare for their challenge against De La Salle (Chicago, IL). The Meteors come into the Chicago Catholic - White challenge with a 2-14 record. In their last challenge, De La Salle was edged by Chicago Washington (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lemont HS encounter the Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South Meteors (Calumet City, IL) in a South Suburban challenge, on Thursday, April 25. Lemont will attempt to move on its 12-10 season record. The Meteors come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL).
