New York High School Softball - Edison bounces Whitney Point
April 24, 2024: Elmira Heights, NY 14903 Edison Spartans (Elmira Heights, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY), 14-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Spartans now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Susquehanna Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Edison will face a Sabers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Seton Catholic Central (Binghamton, NY). The Sabers record now stands at 6-0.
With the loss, Whitney Point falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Eagles host Dryden (Dryden, NY) to face the Lions in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Large challenge on Monday, April 29. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-6.
