Illinois High School Softball - Fisher topped by Villa Grove
April 24, 2024: Villa Grove, IL 61956 The Villa Grove Blue Devils softball team scored 19 runs and limited the visiting Fisher Bunnies to 4 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Wednesday.
With the triumph, Villa Grove moves its record to 14-10 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Cumberland (Toledo, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a Lincoln Prairie game on Thursday, April 25. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 7-12. Cumberland lost 16-6 in their recent league game against Marshall (Marshall, IL)
In their next game, the Bunnies clash with the Fieldcrest Knights (Minonk, IL) in a Heart of Illinois game, on Friday, April 26. Fisher will attempt to move on its 5-14 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 1-12 record after their 12-7 league loss to El Paso-Gridley (El Paso, IL).
