North Carolina High School Softball - Hough Providence
April 24, 2024: Cornelius, NC 28031 Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Providence Panthers (Charlotte, NC), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Huskies now own a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hopewell for a Queen City 3A/4A challenge on Thursday, April 25. Hough will battle a Titans squad coming off a 20-15 league win over North Mecklenburg (Huntersville, NC). The Titans record now stands at 9-4.
With the loss, Providence falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to battle the Eagles in a Southwestern 4A challenge on Friday, April 26. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. East Mecklenburg won 20-4 in their recent league challenge against Garinger (Charlotte, NC)
