Virginia High School Soccer - Riverbend nudges King George
April 24, 2025: King George, VA 22485 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Riverbend Bears (Fredericksburg, VA) and the host King George Foxes (King George, VA), saw Riverbend's soccer squad hold off King George by a count of 1-0.
The Bears (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against Mountain View (Stafford, VA). The Wildcats enter the Commonwealth battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Mountain View tipped Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA), 4-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Foxes confront the Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA) in a Battlefield battle, on Tuesday, April 29. King George will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 3-2 league loss to Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA).
