New York High School Lacrosse - Brighton nipped by Penn Yan Academy
April 24, 2025: Penn Yan, NY 14527 Penn Yan Academy Mustangs (Penn Yan, NY) backers exited the stadium satisfied Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team nip the visiting Brighton Bruins (Rochester, NY), 11-10 in a non-league game.
With the victory, Penn Yan Academy improves its record to 5-0 on the season. The Mustangs host Canandaigua Academy (Canandaigua, NY) to play the Braves in a non-league game on Saturday, April 26. The Braves come into the game with a record of 2-0. Canandaigua Academy won 13-12 in their recent non-league game against Spencerport (Spencerport, NY)
The Bruins now have a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Churchville-Chili for a non-league game on Monday, April 28. Brighton will play a Saints team coming off a 14-5 non-league win over Wayne (Ontario Center, NY). The Saints record now stands at 3-2.
