Oregon High School Softball - Riverside bounces Weston-McEwen/Griswold
April 24, 2025: Athena, OR 97813 The Riverside Pirates softball team scored 18 runs and held the host Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots to 1 in the Pirates non-league win on Thursday.
The Pirates now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Umatilla for a 3A Special District 2 battle on Tuesday, April 29. Riverside will encounter a Vikings team coming off a 16-1 league loss to Vale (Vale, OR). The Vikings record now stands at 1-7.
With the loss, Weston-McEwen/Griswold moves to 7-1 on the season. The Tiger scots travel to Irrigon (Irrigon, OR) to encounter the Knights in a 2A/1A-SD7 Special District 7 battle on Friday, April 25. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 0-3.
