The Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH) softball routed the visiting Rittman Indians (Rittman, OH), 16-4 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ravenna for a Metro Athletic Conference outing on Monday, April 27. Springfield will encounter a Ravens team coming off a 11-3 non-league loss to Mogadore (Mogadore, OH). The Ravens record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Rittman moves to 4-12 on the season. The Indians host Dalton (Dalton, OH) to encounter the Bulldogs in a Wayne County outing on Tuesday, April 28. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 9-4.
