April 25, 2022: Montross, VA 22520 Washington & Lee Eagles (Montross, VA) fans were thrilled Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Eagles face the Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA) in a Northern Neck challenge, on Wednesday, May 4. Washington & Lee will attempt to better on its 8-0 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA).
The Firebirds now have a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northampton for a Eastern Shore challenge on Wednesday, April 27. Arcadia will face a Yellowjackets team coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-3.
