Massachusetts High School Softball - Foxborough holds off Newton South
April 25, 2022: Foxborough, MA 02035 Foxborough Warriors (Foxborough, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Newton South Lions (Newton, MA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Warriors now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 26. Foxborough will face a Panthers squad coming off a 11-3 league loss to Mansfield (Mansfield, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Newton South falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Lions host Boston Latin (Boston, MA) to face the Wolfpack in a Dual County Large challenge on Wednesday, April 27. The Wolfpack enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Boston Latin lost 18-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Archbishop Williams (Braintree, MA)
