Illinois High School Softball - Morton holds off Midwest Central/Illini Central
April 25, 2022: Morton, IL 61550 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) and the visiting Midwest Central/Illini Central Raiders (Manito, IL), witnessed Morton's softball squad tip Midwest Central/Illini Central by a count of 4-2.
The Potters now sport a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Dunlap for a Mid-Illini match on Tuesday, April 26. Morton will face a Eagles squad coming off a 11-8 league loss to Washington (Washington, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, Midwest Central/Illini Central moves to 6-12 on the season. The Raiders host Tremont (Tremont, IL) to face the Turks in a Heart of Illinois match on Thursday, April 28. The Turks go into the match with a record of 13-3. Tremont won 10-0 in their recent league match against Eureka (Eureka, IL)
