April 25, 2023: Girard, KS 66743 The Chanute Blue Comets the host Girard Trojans softball squad by a final score of 4-1 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Blue Comets (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Independence (Independence, KS). The Bulldogs go into the Southeast Kansas battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Independence was routed by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 12-7, in a league battle.
The Trojans now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Fort Scott for a non-league battle on Thursday, May 4.
