Minnesota High School Softball - Byron holds off Pine Island
April 25, 2024: Pine Island, MN 55963 Byron Bears (Byron, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Pine Island Panthers (Pine Island, MN), 2-0 in a league challenge.
The Bears now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Kasson-Mantorville for a Hiawatha Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 30.
With the loss, Pine Island falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Mayo (Rochester, MN) to battle the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 26. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-6. Mayo won 15-5 in their recent league challenge against Austin (Austin, MN)
