April 25, 2024: Uniondale, NY 11553 Kellenberg Memorial Firebirds (Uniondale, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Calhoun Colts (Merrick, NY), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.
The Firebirds now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Holy Trinity for a challenge on Friday, April 26. Kellenberg Memorial will battle a Titans squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Shaker (Latham, NY). The Titans record now stands at 3-5.
With the loss, Calhoun falls to 0-1 on the campaign.
