The Tri-Valley Vikings routed the visiting Fieldcrest Knights softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Monday's league battle.

The Vikings (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans go into the non-league battle with a 0-0 record.

The Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Fisher for a Heart of Illinois battle on Thursday, April 29. Fieldcrest will meet a Bunnies squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Bunnies record now stands at 1-1.
