Alabama High School Softball - Calera bounces Shelby County
April 26, 2022: Calera, AL 35040 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) and the visiting Shelby County Wildcats (Columbiana, AL), witnessed Calera's softball squad prevail over Shelby County by a count of 11-1.
The Eagles now sport a 19-17 record. They play next when they host Wetumpka for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 27. Calera will face a Indians squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL). The Indians record now stands at 35-9.
With the loss, Shelby County moves to 14-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Talladega (Talladega, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Tuesday, May 3. The Tigers go into the match with a record of 2-13. Talladega lost 16-0 in their recent league match against Sylacauga (Sylacauga, AL)
