The George Washington Patriots walloped the visiting Capital Cougars lacrosse team by a final score of 16-1 in Wednesday's non-league match.

With the win, George Washington betters its record to 8-2 on the season. The Patriots host Linsly (Wheeling, WV) to play the Cadets in a WVSLA -DI West match on Saturday, April 29. The Cadets go into the match with a record of 5-7. Linsly lost 16-7 in their recent non-league match against University (Morgantown, WV)

With the defeat, Capital drops to 2-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV) to play the Maroon Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, April 29.
