The Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) softball routed the visiting Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL), 14-4 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Golden Warriors (13-4) will now prepare for their bout against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Rocks go into the Western Big 6 bout with a 8-7 record.

The Mustangs now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Erie-Prophetstown for a Three Rivers West bout on Thursday, April 27. Morrison will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 6-8.
