Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Frontier Falcons (Hamburg, NY), 17-8 in a league test.

The Vikings now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Iroquois for a test on Friday, May 10.

In their next game, the Falcons face the East Aurora Blue Devils (East Aurora, NY) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, April 30. Frontier will attempt to move on its 4-3 season record.
