April 26, 2025: Greensburg, PA 15601 The Hempfield Area Spartans lacrosse squad scored 10 points and limited the visiting Winchester Thurston to 7 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now hold a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they host Norwin for a challenge on Wednesday, April 30. Hempfield Area will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 15-7 league loss to Bethel Park (Bethel Park, PA). The Knights record now stands at 3-9.
With the loss, Winchester Thurston falls to 4-8 on the year. The host Hampton (Allison Park, PA) to clash with the Talbots in a WPIAL 2A 2 challenge on Monday, April 28. The Talbots go into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Hampton 0-0 in their recent league challenge against Yough (Herminie, PA)
