April 26, 2025: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 The Mt. Vernon Mustangs soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting West Branch Bears to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Saturday.
The Mustangs now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Marion for a WaMaC-East bout on Tuesday, April 29. Mt. Vernon will play a Wolves squad coming off a 2-2 non-league Ottumwa (Ottumwa, IA). The Wolves record now stands at 8-2.
With the loss, West Branch moves to 5-6 on the year. The Bears travel to Springville (Springville, IA) to play the Orioles in a non-league bout on Saturday, April 26. The Orioles go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Springville won 4-0 in their recent non-league bout against Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA)
