The Matawan Regional Huskies overwhelmed the host Ocean Township Spartans softball squad by a count of 14-2 in Saturday's league challenge.

Next, the Huskies meet the Freehold Boro Colonials (Freehold, NJ) in a Shore - B North challenge, on Monday, April 28. Matawan Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record.

The Spartans (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ). The Braves go into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Manalapan toppled Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ), 21-5, in a non-league challenge.
