Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Wheeler Lions (North Stonington, CT), 9-7 in a league challenge.

The Redmen now own a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Ledyard for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 28.

With the loss, Wheeler falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Tourtellotte Memorial (North Grosvenordale, CT) to battle the Tigers in a Eastern Connecticut - Small challenge on Thursday, April 29. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
