Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), 16-4 in a league test.

The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Jefferson Forest for a non-league test on Monday, May 3. Salem will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 17-7 non-league loss to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-1.

In their next game, the Bruins face the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, April 29. Blacksburg will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
