April 27, 2021: Champaign, IL 61821 The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Centennial Chargers (Champaign, IL) and the visiting Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), saw Centennial's softball squad achieve victory over Peoria by a count of 17-0.
The Chargers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Westville for a non-league match on Thursday, April 29. Centennial will face a Tigers squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Danville (Danville, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Peoria falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Champaign Central (Champaign, IL) to face the Maroons in a Big Twelve match on Tuesday, April 27. The Maroons enter the match with a record of 0-5. Champaign Central lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL)
